ASSISTANT CAFE/BAR MANAGER (full-time) - NEW SITE OPENING

NEW STORE OPENING - DISTRICT BATTERSEA

Located in a beautiful residential area next to Battersea Park, our newest site is a modern, approachable café/wine bar.

District is all about: good vibes, coffee, natty wine and elevated cocktails. We serve simple, delicious food, with all day brunch, and sharing plates in the evening.

We love our local communities and we look to build a loyal following wherever we go. We work with local partners & producers, and sustainability is at our core. (B-Corp pending.)

You’ll be joining a growing family, with sites in: Parsons Green, Mayfair & Nine Elms. Each with their own personality and incredible teams!

Who you are:

A people person, who thrives on developing their team. A natural leader that brings energy to the venue and leads from the front. There are no back office managers here. You will be driven to inspire and develop your small but strong team. And want to build strong relationships in the community around you. You have a strong foundation in operations and finance, and are passionate about creating excellent guest experiences. Ideally you have 2 years + Supervisor or ASM role with a focus on wine or coffee.

Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management.
- Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings are consistently delivered to customers.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Train and supervise café staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and update menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized café environment.

Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
- Familiarity with bartending techniques and drink recipes is a plus.
- Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality food and service.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise.

Salary: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
